Begin by painting plain white cards (5DW-CARDWHT) with acrylic paint. On two of the cards, paint the front with waterfall blue (5EC-01034) and a rough border with raspberry (5EC-01022). Use the same two colors for the other cards, but paint the front with raspberry and border with waterfall instead. Once the paint has dried, glue some torn vintage text pieces onto the front of each card. Then stamp the various Dina Wakley images onto each card. Use a large acrylic block for the stamps (5CLR-3X6). Some of the cards feature just one stamp image and some were a combination of two images. I prefer to use the black StazOn ink (5TS-BLACK) when stamping on a painted background to ensure I get a good solid black image. Using magenta (5KF-SSMAGEN) and cobalt (5KF-SSCOBAL) scrapper’s floss, tie some pieces around the front of each card. Add a simple button to the front of the cards (over the scrappers floss) for a final touch! |
