Lydia
embarks on a trip through Morocco with her friend and former lover,
Christopher. As she travels in search of antiques and adventure, she
notices a small mark on her hand that begins to grow and spread into
thin, tattooed lines. The mysterious marks are only visible to Lydia.
She records her thoughts and daily experiences in a journal, which
includes photographs, maps, personal notes, drawings and other memorabilia
that she has collected along the way. As the tattoo grows and spreads
across her hand, Lydia’s anxiety deepens as she realizes that
the marks resemble a detailed map of an unknown land. A mysterious
Moroccan man, Layesh, later explains to Lydia the connection of the
map to anecessary journey, both physically and spiritually, that she
must make. When Lydia unexpectedly disappears, Christopher uses the
journal to record the search for his friend and to unravel the mystery
of the tattooed map.
