Bird Song Pop-Up Book

Cut two pieces of chipboard, then, two pieces of decorative cardstock slightly smaller than the chipboard. Download and print various images from Memories of a Lifetime: Birds & Butterflies (5SPBIRDS&BUTTER): die cut, edge with gold leafing pen and set aside. Collage the fronts of chipboard using vintage papers, wallpaper scraps, etc. Embellish one of the layered chipboards using a prepared image, Large Flowers - Winter 1 (5PM-506551) with gold rhinestone from Adhesive Rhinestones - Maison (5KC-564787) center and other tidbits of your choice: this will be the front cover. Collage the backsides of the chipboards starting with the solid color of the Sweet Bella Crate paper (5SB-PAPIER), then, tear printed side to incorporate into collage, along with antique text papers, a prepared image on each piece and rubber stamping (M4749 - Patterned Flourishes; 5AMSTAMPSET - A-B-Seas alpha stamps) for interest.
Cut a circle from vintage (or other) fabric according to the pattern enclosed with the metal Sweet Button (5SB-BUTTONS). Leave the shank in place. Pull fabric taunt around the metal to the back of the button and under the serrated edge, then, place backing over and push down with your fingers until seated. Embellish the front with a round punched image and appropriate text.
Cut a slit slightly longer than the width of the dressed button, then, another approximately ¾” below it to prepare the decorated cardstock for the pop-up page. Collage front and back in the same manner as the chipboard. Punch two ovals from a tea stained file folder, then, stamp with images from Cavallini’s Birds & Nests Rubber Stamp Set (5CSTAMP/BRD) and edge with gold. Place ovals where intended, then, punch two holes at sides and two more corresponding holes in the cardstock. Thread ribbon through right oval hole, along back and back out of left hole: thread the ends through the cardstock holes and tie on other side. Stamp text with A-B-Seas alpha stamps (5AMSTAMPSET). Punch two holes, one above slit and one below, for large pin to slide through.
Cut and glue vintage (or other) fabric for spine of book. Wrap a piece of tea dyed muslin around outside bar of a Sweet Pin (5SB-PINS) and tie into a square knot. Thread pointed bar of pin through fabric, in and out of punched holes of cardstock, then, back through fabric and clasp. Hang a Small Altered Aged Tag (5SG-8146 - Discontinued) from pin’s bottom loop using metallic thread.
