These collections are reminiscent of the freshness of a crisp morning and the spontaneous tune it inspires. Vibrant hues mixed with vintage designs will give your projects the kick it needs, while the fun and eclectic mix keeps it versatile and fun to work with. All papers are acid and linen free. Each IOD paper pack includes 12 sheets of premium cardstock in 6 patterns, assorted flowers and 1 yard of coordinating ribbon. The sheets are 12" x 12" double-sided heavyweight cardstock. The ribbon packs sold separately contain 1 yard of each ribbon with a total of 5 yards per pack.

The Rue 88 papers have that “Parisian Café” feel so I couldn’t help but create some greeting cards that are perfect for a tea party invitation or any special occasion. Add a special touch to your envelopes as well! Whether you are sending these through the postal service or hand delivering your invites, you can add some special touches using stamps!

All cardstock used in this project is from the Rue 88 IOD kit (5PM-602048) and the stamping and edge distressing will require black StazOn Ink (5TS-BLACK) and the Crenee “My Rose” clear stamp collection (5PM-850043).

Card 1

Using the green cardstock from the Rue 88 kit (5PM-602048) I cut it down to size to fit a standard size greeting card. Tear the right edge of the cardstock and ink edges.

Add a torn piece of vintage music paper (5CA-MUSIC) to the bottom left corner.

In the top left corner use black ink to stamp the large flower image from the Crenee “My Rose” clear stamp collection (5PM-850043). Use the “rendez vous” chipboard shapes (5PM-516857) and attach them to burgundy colored cardstock from the Rue 88 kit. Then attach the words to the front of the card.

For the inside create a pocket for the right hand side using the patterned paper with the script and rose images from the Rue 88 kit.

On the left side stamp the butterfly from the My Rose clear stamp collection (5PM-850043) and add some flowers from the Rue 88 kit.

Card 2

Use the script and rose patterned paper from the Rue 88 kit.

Tear off the right edge, ink edges with black StazOn and attach to the front.

Use a strip of black and aqua colored cardstock from the Rue 88 kit and attach across the bottom.

Stamp the small bird images from the My Rose stamp collection (5PM-850043) across the strip.

For the inside stamp the birdcage image from the My Rose stamp collection (5PM-850043) and the same small bird that was used on the front can be stamped inside the cage.

Card 3

Use the black and white patterned paper from the Rue 88 kit and using the same technique as cards 1 & 2 you will tear the right edge, ink edges and attach to the front.

Stamp the window image from the My Rose stamp collection (5PM-850043) onto aqua colored Rue 88 cardstock, ink edges with black StazOn then layer onto burgundy cardstock.

Again ink edges then attach image to the center. Use the 2 black chipboard corners from the Rue 88 chipboard (5PM-516857) and attach to the top and bottom left corners.

For the inside stamp the long floral image from the Crenee stamp with black ink to create a square.Then attach the large floral chipboard square (5PM-516857) to the center.

Ink the edges of a thin strip of aqua colored cardstock and add to the left side.

Envelopes

Use the Carte Postale clear stamp (J6226) to stamp all the postal themed images on the envelope.

Add some faux stamps from the Mary Mata “French Garden” collage sheet (5MT-FRENCHGARD).

For the top right corner remember to first stamp the dotted lined image, then attach the faux stamps, then stamp the postal image on top.

Stamp images from the My Rose clear stamp collection (5PM-850043) accordingly to blend in with the theme of each card.

For the back of the envelope stamp the floral image from the My Rose stamp collection (5PM-850043) to the top flap of the envelope.

Odds & Ends – Bits & Pieces

I had purchased this 12" x 12" storage box from a discount store and knew it would be perfect to alter! All the papers used are from the Angelique IOD Kit (5PM-810504). I used the single slide mailers (5PS-SLIDE1) for the labels on each drawer. I painted them with acrylic paint then glued a piece of coordinating paper from the Angelique IOD Kit. Using the black lace ribbons from the Elysee ribbons (5PM-519490 & 5PM-519513) I cut the down and made borders around the slide mailer labels. I used black alphabet stickers for the labels – for a fun look try alternating the upper and lower case to give it a “junky” look!
