Magical Pumpkin
By Diane Michioka

DECOUPAGE:

Paint papier mache pumpkin (5DC-28-3961) with White Acrylic Paint from Making Memories Cityscape Color Kit (5MA-23751).  Let dry.  Using various images from the Cavallini Paris Stamp Set (5CPSTAMP/PAR), stamp with black ink (included in set) onto sheets of pattern tissue (take from patterns you are no longer interested in using!)  Randomly tear around stamped pattern area into tapered strip shapes.  Gently apply Golden Regular Gel Matte Medium (5GO-3030) with a craft brush to the back side of the pattern strips.  Lay onto pumpkin surface in desired position and adhere by applying and brushing on more gel medium to the front of the patterned pieces.  Continue to do this, allowing some of the original white painted pumpkin showing.  Cut a few phrases from the Tell Me A Story Collage Sheet (5ARM160).  Apply to pumpkin with gel medium.  Let gel medium dry.

GLITTER:

Apply Designer Dries Clear Glue (5AG-DDC02) by squeezing directly from the bottle onto the top half of the pumpkin, spread evenly with clean craft brush.  Generously cover with Krystallos Vintage Glass Glitter Shards (5AG-901). Repeat with bottom half.  Let dry.  (Do not worry if you cannot see the stamped images or phrases – the glue will dry clear!)

Pears
By Gaylynn Stingham

1. Pear is painted luscious red with a glossy sealer. Swirls, a leaf, French ribbon and cord, all in gold, give this a holiday flavor.

2. This multicolored pear with silk leaves becomes a decorative accessory sitting on an embroidered square of fabric highlighted with gold and green metallic paint. Colored glass pebbles serve as feet for the fabric table.

3. Floral tissue over paint, glaze sealer. Leaf is edged in gold and attached to the stem with a coil of gold wire.  Pale green embroidery thread makes a loop for hanging.
