Canvas Wall Art
by Vanessa Spencer
Start by painting a 6"x6" canvas (5CV-70407) with brown acrylic paint (5HSP24859). Once it has dried, spray it with gold Glimmer Mist (5TA-GOLD). Stamp the Baroque (P2234) stamp onto a piece of vintage text with brown ink (5TH-TIM19534). Glue the text onto the canvas in the upper left corner. Paint a chipboard scroll (5MR-C016) with white paint (5HSP24750) and set aside to dry. Add a small piece of white ephemera to the bottom left corner; I used part of a vintage paper doily from a paper bundle purchased from our French Flea Market. Stamp the Baroque image (P2234) onto a medium sized white paper flower. Then take a slightly larger white paper flower and ink the edges a little with the brown ink (5TH-TIM19534). In the bottom right corner glue on the large flower, then the medium sized flower, and a brown button (5PS-BUTTONS1). If the chipboard scroll has dried, glue it to the upper right corner. Throughout this project I used the Designer Dries Clear glue (5AG-DDC02). To find vintage text and ephemera similar to what I used in this project, shop our exclusive French Flea Market sales that are exclusive to Postscript subscribers!
Timeless Beauty Cards
by Sarah Meehan
Stamp images (P2241 and P2243) in Black ink (5VS-000-082) onto newsprint. Tear off any excess around the stamped image and adhere each to the front of a card from the Oatmeal Kraft Stationery Pack (4SP002). Apply a small smudge of Gesso (5GO-3550) to the card and allow to dry. Add text with a Rapido Sketch Pen (5KO-RAPSKETCH
Greencraft Storage Tin
by Vanessa Spencer
Using an empty tin I had from a set of Cavallini vintage labels, I simply cut down a piece of brown paper to fit the lid and inked the edges with brown ink (5TS-BROWN). Glue that piece onto the lid. Add a rectangular piece of vintage paper and cut out the leaf image from the paper that is in the Nesting Grounds Collection No. 2 (5CC-NGC01) paper kit. Glue both those pieces onto the lid also. Use the Come Hither stamp (P2237) with brown ink to and stamp the image onto the top left corner.
Letters
by Vanessa Spencer
Start with a wooden box (5KABOXSM). Measure the top and sides of the box for the dimensions you will need for the paper. Use the blue papers from the Lynne Perrella collection (5SC-50100V2). For the top of the box I chose to use the solid blue and for the sides I used the collage style paper. Cut out the papers and glue to the box. Use the sanding tool (5TH92482) to sand down the edges and this will help get rid of any excess paper hanging off the edge. Distress all the edges with brown ink (5TH-TIM19527). Tear a piece of vintage text and glue to the top of the box. Spray lightly with Sage Glimmer Mist (5TA-SAGE). Lightly distress a large blue flower (5PM-516406) and glue to the top left area of the vintage text. Then glue the artful collage flower (5PM-523794) on top of the blue flower. Stamp the Spring stamp (P2240) onto a piece of beige cardstock with brown ink (5TH-TIM19527). Cut out around the image and glue onto the vintage text, just overlapping the center of the flowers. Glue on button (5PS-BUTTONS1) as the flower center. Add a piece of the solid blue paper to line the inside of the box. Fill with your treasured vintage text, letters, photos and more!
