Here’s an inside peek at just a few of the great articles you’ll find in our Spring 2003 issue of Legacy:
Button-Down Photo Frames
These simple-to-make decoupaged frames make wonderful gifts, says artist Janet Hofacker. Embellished with buttons and family photos, they will be treasured for always.
Caught on Canvas: Adding Textured Images to Scrapbooks
Carol Wingert loves the look and feel of adding canvas to her scrapbook pages. In this article, she tells how she transfers photos to canvas to create a picture that looks "like an artist’s oil painting."
Family Records Album: Replacing 45s with Memories
Lili Turnell found an unusual use for old albums that once held vinyl records. Instead of filling the sleeves with 45s and 78s, she created "records" of her ancestors out of black cardstock—adorning the fronts with their photos and tucking memorabilia inside the paper albums. A wonderful way to record someone’s life.
Scrapbook Challenge: Making Pages That Stand Out
We invited mixed-media artist Diana Twedt to create scrapbook pages, hoping she’d infuse them with her luminous style. We were thrilled with the results, and think that you, too, will love every ethereal page she made for Legacy.
