Birthday Incense Box

Stamp numbers (Artsy) with lavender chalk ink on a circle tag from Foof-a-la - Spring Pageantry Die Cut Punch Outs (5FF-43103). Sponge the same ink onto the edges of the tag. Stamp cake (Paper Salon) twice on a striped sheet of paper from K&Co. Meadow & Breeze 8 1/2” x 11” Paper Pad (5KC-624702), Cut out the tray portion from one image and two layers of the cake from the second image. Glue the two pieces together. Stamp the tray legs from the cake image on the tag. Color the image with pencils and highlight portions of the cake image with Stickles - Diamond (5RR-SGG17028). Dot the edges of the tag with Stickles - Gold (5RR-SGG01799) and the Diamond Stickles. Let dry. Mount the cake cutout to the tag with foam tape. Glue three bugle beads to the tag at the top of the cake image. Dot the top of the beads with the Gold Stickles. Stamp small tag from the Foof-a-la - Spring Pageantry Die Cut Punch Outs with a birthday sentiment from 7gypsies™ - Sentiment Roller Stamp (5SG-17037 - Discontinued). Tie gingham ribbons from Lavender Ribbons (5MA-23197) and Celery Ribbons (5MA-23196) to the top of the tag. Attach the sentiment tag to the ribbon with lavender ribbon from Wire-Matte Light (5MA-20943). Paint the inside cavities of a purchased incense box with Metallic Bronze (5JQ-565). Attach a Jade Pattern Acetate 12" x 12" (5KC-641716) over the window in the box’s lid, as shown. Cover the outside and inside lid panel of the box with text and polka dot papers from K&Co. Meadow & Breeze 8 1/2” x 11” Paper Pad (5KC-624702), as shown. Wrap brown and green strip stickers from Heidi Swapp Decorative Tape - Endless Summer (5HS-HS63477) around the box, as shown. Sponge the edges of the box with turquiose chalk ink. Mount the circle tag to the top portion of the box’s lid with foam tape. Wrap lengths of the green and lavender gingham ribbon around the incense sticks and incense holder. Knot the ribbons and trim the ends. Cut out five tiny tags from scraps of the K&Co. Breeze papers used for the box. Using 7gypsies™ - Express Stamps – Journey (5SG-17035), 7gypsies™ - Express Stamps - Sentiments and black ink, stamp sentiments on the tags. Sponge the edges of the tags with coordinating chalk inks. Attach the tags to four Small Page Clips (5KC-564664) and one Large Page Clip (5KC-564657).

Cover:
Roof: Fold Studio K Blue Distressed Paper (5KC-660861) to form  roof “shingles.”  Place 1/4" kraft cardstock trim diagonally to form roof shape and adhere with Diamond Glaze (5JK-DIAMOND2) to paper shingles. Trim paper to outer edge of roof trim. Sponge all edges with Nick Bantoch Van Dyke Brown Ink (5RRBROWN). Adhere roof to Studio K mini-book (5KC-535589) cover.

Frame: Trim "Nest with 5 eggs" image from Angela Cartwright Cottage Garden Trans 2 (5SC-50312) transparency sheet. Draw outside edge of frame 1/4" larger than image onto Studio K Blue Distressed Paper (5KC-660861). Next draw the frame opening about 1/2" inside the outer edge. Carefully tear along edges.  Sponge torn edges with brown ink. Trim a sheet of white paper to the same size as the transparency. Trace the outline of the group of five eggs onto the paper.  Cut out the “egg” opening. Line up the “egg” opening on the paper with the image and adhere it to back of the transparency. Then adhere the transparency to the back of the frame. Add 1/4" strips of foam core to the each side of the back of the frame. Adhere raffia to foamcore with brads. Adhere frame to mini-book cover. Adhere brad head only to raffia and roof. Tear circles from same paper and stamp “H”, “O”, “M”, “E” using Clearly Impressed Typewriter Alphabet Set (J6228) in brown ink.

Left: Tear 1/4" strips of same paper and sponge edges with brown ink, Adhere to page as tree trunks.  Using the rose garland from Clearly Impressed Anna Corba Vintage Labels (G1300) and Nick Bantoch Cerulean Azure Ink (5RRAZURE). to stamp create leaves.  Emboss with Clear Embossing Powder (5ST-EP020).  Create interior windowed wall by tearing the outside edges to size using Studio K Polka Dots on Text (5KC-660786) paper. Draw window openings on paper and tear along lines. Sponge edges with brown ink. Adhere paper to journal pages framing trees. Adhere Studio K Black Meadow Pocket & Tags (5KC-580633).

Right: Fold kraft tags as shown, stamp “home”, and “SwEeT” with Clearly Impressed Typewriter Alphabet Set (J6228) in brown and azure ink. Sponge edges and inside of tags with brown and azure ink. Adhere tags to journal.  Stick self-adhesive Studio K String Clasps (5KC-542600 - Discontinued) pairs to each tag. Stamp tabs with “PLEASE”, “LAUGH”, “LOVE”, “LIVE”, “LIFE”, “WELL” and the tag with “PEACE” in brown ink using Provo Craft Rolling Stamp - Circa 12 pt (5PR-42-8064).
