Artist
Portfolio: Lily Schoen
This 15-year-old artist will amaze you. She's a very talented stamper,
book artist and papercrafter who is sure to inspire you. Our younger
audience will be especially motivated by Lily's talent and dedication
to the arts. She's living proof that anyone can pursue art and craft
with passion and joy, at any age, with remarkable results.
Stamp
a Chess Set
The game of chess can be traced back to as early as the 6th century.
Over the ages, the rules of the game and the shapes and identities of
the pieces evolved to the standard we are familiar with today. After
playing with chess piece stamp imagery, the artist decided to try her
hand at my own altered chessboard ... and you can do the same.
The
Magic of Modeling Compound
Its not just for kids! Modeling compound (marketed under brand
names such as Play-Doh®) hardens as it air-dries ... making it a
wonderful product for stamp artists. Sherrill Kahn will show you how
to make pins, earrings, buttons, sculptures, containers, necklaces,
beads, embellishments, closures and covers for handmade books, and many
other items with this fabulous material.
Stamped
& Painted T's
After using opaque white fabric paint to create a smooth, non-porous
painting surface on an otherwise nubby, hard-to-stamp material, Carol
Heppner used torn masking tape, rubber stamps, textile paint and a fantastic
layering technique to create these dreamy T-shirts. Let her show you
how to do the same.
