When it comes to penmanship, 74-year-old William “Bill” Lilly has no peer. Not only is he one of the last surviving graduates of the famed Zanerian College of Penmanship, the “Harvard of penmanship schools” that folded in the 1960s, he’s the only survivor to receive the school’s highest honor: a coveted gold seal on his diploma.
