Stamping With Friendly Plastic While experimenting with friendly plastic recently, Carolyn Waitt found thatthanks to rubber stampsit is indeed a "friendly" material for artists and crafters. It's great for stamping (takes a clear imprint) and makes an inexpensive medium for jewelry making, collage, or art objects to be sold at holiday fairs and boutiques. Portfolio: Nina Bagley
Nina Bagley is a fairly recent contributor to Somerset Studio, but her artwork has already graced the covers of three issues. Her very first submission, a decoupaged cigar box that enclosed a handmade book and other items, landed on the cover of the November/December 1999 issue. Her second submission was meant for the Storyteller page in the Treasures of the Pharaohs (March/April 2000) issue, but it was also featured on the cover. I think that's when I knew that we had to feature Nina as a portfolio artist sometime before the end of 2000. For one thing, I was dying to see more of her artwork myself. I wanted to know how she came up with these sublime narrative art pieces, and I was sure our readers felt the same. The result? Once again, Nina's artwork graces the cover of another issue....
