Below
are some of the articles featured in the Inspirations Summer 2002
issue!
Summer
is here! That means long days, twilight dinners and celebrations at
the water's edge. Adirondack chairs are an icon of summertime. But if
you dont have one of your own, now you can construct one with
our template. Granted, it wont be one you can sit in, (but maybe
Barbie® would?). Each of our artists identified with the chairs
quite uniquely - as is delightfully typical. Come and explore their
colors and themes.
The
challenge and the fun of stamping is in creating a new look with the
same stamps each time you use them. They say the best-dressed people
dont own a lot of clothes, they just know how to wear them. The
best stampers know how to manipulate images to give them a new look
and stretch themselves to use an image in an avant-garde manner or with
unexpected themes.
Inspired
by their blossoming backyards, our artists assembled garden boxes reflective
of their green thumbs. Budding herbs, colorful sprays of flowers, and
the seedlings that make it all happen, are wrapped up in these horticultural
studies. Using basic supplies found online at www.stampington.com at
The Shoppe at Somerset, each artist produced
a hinged case with glassine envelopes, tiny metal tins and an array
of rubber stamps. Browse through our web site for unique and inspiring
art and crafting essentials just right for your own garden box.
Remember
the boring old brown paper bags we wrapped around our text books? Well,
no more! Weve got an idea for the best-dressed books around. Get
back to school in style this season with a stamping project just right
for Mom and the kids! These designer covers may not hold up the entire
school year, but thats the fun part. A new look can be created
as needed!
