School Day Memories Lunch Box
by Mona Gettmann

Remove the handle and fasteners from a Paper Mache Large Lunch Box (5DCLUNCHLG). Cut Child's Day Decoupage Paper 20" x 28" (5CPCHD - Discontinued) into panel. Tear the edges of the panels into panels to fit the sides, the lid of the lunch box, and two panels into the dimensions of the curved side panels a shown. Sponge the edges of the panels with Soft Stone ink (5HA SISTONE). Age the panels with Soft Stone and Soft Wheat (5HA-SIWHE) inks. Attach the torn-edge panels to the Paper Mache Large Lunch Box as shown. Using A-B-Seas Stamp Set (5AMSTAMPSET), stamp text with Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad (5TS-BLACK), between the panels, and along the edges of the lunch box. Place a length of black twill through the holes in the lid to create a handle. Tie black thread through a Newsprint Button (5DD-7080 - Sold Out) and tie a knot. Lace a Black Elastic (5SG-8122 - Discontinued) under the thread on the back of the button and through the holes in an elongated diamond from Heart Charm Set (5DD-7092). Place the prepared Black Elastic through the hole in the front panel of the lunch box. Place second Black Elastic through the hole in the lid of the lunch box. Loop the button under the top Elastic to create a closure. Handwrite or computer-generate a greeting on a small cream gift card. Place the card in a Glassine Envelope (5CB2X2). Attach the envelope to the handle with a cream Handmade Pin with a heart charm attached. Cut out a small child’s face from a Mini Mix Collage Sheet (5ARMIX). Cut an acetate panel and the face panel into the dimensions of a Rectangle Frame Charm (5DD-7093) Sold Out. Slide the two panels into the frame and fold down the prongs. Attach the frame to a length of black fiber. Tie the fiber around the handle.
