Glass
Tags, Circles, and more!
We've
never seen anything like them, and we're in LOVE. Our hearts melted
at the sight of these fabulous fused glass pieces, created exclusively
for us by Stacy Dorr, Glass Artist. Our eyes dreamy and hearts beating
fast, we envisioned the countless ways these gorgeous pieces could be
used. Stamping, altered books, jewelry, gift tags, labels, ornaments,
home décor, scrapbook pages the words flew from our lips!
Unable to stop ourselves, we knew we'd found a wonderful product for
the Shoppe.
Stacy
Dorr creates these wonderful glass pieces with a technique called glass
fusing. Glass Fusing dates back to the ancient Egyptians, and has changed
very little in over 5000 years. The glass is melted in a kiln at around
1500 degrees. Due to the melting process, no two pieces are ever the
same. You'll notice little bubbles in the glass; these occur as the
glass literally begins to boil. We think this individuality adds to
the appeal of these wonderful pieces.
We
think we've found a fresh face in art materials one with incredible
potential. Please peruse your colorful and varied options, and be sure
to see our samples and special projects below!
All pieces have rounded edges and are safe to handle, wear, and adore.
Approximately 1/8" thick, they can be stamped with StazOn
ink, embossed, etched, decoupaged, and more! Consider using them
with rubber stamps, transparencies, findings, fibers, and any of your
other favorite materials. |
Glass
Wine Bottle Tags
The artist who creates our glass tags has designed a great new shape
for you to use. We love this wine bottle tag, and know you will, too.
The tags are a delightful embellishment on an invitation to a wine
tasting party, and of course youll need to make tags to identify
each type of wine your guests will be tasting. A "Congratulations!"
card will seem extra festive with a tag made to look like a bottle
of champagne. And these would be a very original favor to give your
guests as a memento of your wedding! But
don't limit yourself to using them as wine bottles
they also
make pretty perfume or herbed vinegar bottles. The possibilities are
endless, and once you start to work with them, you'll need some in
every color. Click here to view sample projects
using Glass Wine Bottle Tags. Each bottle is approximately 7/8" to 1" wide, and
3 3/4" to 4" high. Since each is handmade, they will vary
slightly in size and shape.

Glass
Circles
Again with two sizes and many colors to choose from, these curvy and
colorful glass gems will inspire you. Also perfect on altered books,
scrapbook pages and as jewelry, we think the circles would make amazing
ornaments, labels and tags. Consider stamping them to label your drawers
of art supplies. When you give a gift of bubble bath why not include
a stamped circle tag for that extra touch? Dangle them from the edge
of a lampshade in your home and treat your eyes to beauty as the light
bounces through your favorite colors! Clearly, these charms have many
charms of their own. Our
glass circles are sold singly, one to a package. Each piece is unique.
Small circles are approximately 1 1/4" in diameter, large circles
are approximately 1 3/4" in diameter.
