Blooming Birdhouse
by Vanessa Spencer

Start by painting the mini birdhouse (5HCBIRDHOUSE-K) with an off-white acrylic paint (5MA-23751).

Allow to dry.

Attach artful collage flowers (5PM-523824) to the roof with a strong liquid adhesive.

When gluing them on try to overlap them to created a thatched roof.

Using a small bird that I purchased from a discount store, sit it on an artful collage leaf (5PM-523862) and perch it inside.

Blooming Holiday Tree
by Sarah Meehan

Begin by gluing one white paper flower into the center of each of the Artful Collage Flowers (5PM-523794).

Once the flowers are dry, use hot glue to affix them to a 12 Inch Wire Christmas Tree (5HC-327), working in rows from the bottom to the top.

Fill in any gaps with additional white flowers. Add a few Artful Collage Leaves (5PM-523862) to embellish the tree.

Use as a centerpiece on your holiday table, or as a shabby chic accent for any room of your home!

Festival of Lights Table Centerpiece
By Vanessa Spencer

What’s great about this project is that it can be used for Hanukkah or you could use it for a winter wonderland centerpiece! There are many different options but I chose to make mine with a “Festival of Lights” theme in honor of the eight days of Hanukkah. Start by painting a wire tree form (5HCTREE) with a few thick coats of white acrylic paint (5MA-23751). Once the paint has dried you will need to paint the tree with a sealer so the paint doesn’t chip. Purchase some empty glass ornaments from a craft or discount store. I chose a medium size ornament. Fill all 8 ornaments (if doing a Hanukkah theme the 8 is to repre 5HCTREE sent the 8 days) with silver tinsel. Using some Hanukkah ribbons or your favorite blue and white ribbons attach them to the ornaments. Wrap silver leaf ribbons (5FLLEAFGLDSLR) around the tree and then hang the ornaments from the branches!

Holiday Tree Forest (Part 1)
By Vanessa Spencer

I purchased some Styrofoam cones from my local discount store.  The papers are from the 6”x6” Snowflakes and Holly paper pad by Daisy d’s (5DD-17384).

The strips that go around the bottom were cut down to 6” x 1 1/2 “ strips.  All the other strips on the other layers were cut down to 6” x 1”.

On each strip tear a little piece off the end. Using pins – attach each strip to the cone, overlapping each one just slightly.

Once you have attached all the strips for each layer, spray both trees entirely with gold glimmer mist (5TA-GOLD).  Make sure you also spray underneath the strips of paper because once the paper has dried from being sprayed with the glimmer mist – you will curl up the ends slightly and you want to be able to see the gold underneath.

For the top of the tree I used green and red prima sprites flowers (5PM-516413 & 5PM-516390).  You will need 2 of each color for both trees.

Layer smaller green onto a red and attach a Maison Image brad (5KC-564763).

Then using a strong liquid adhesive (5AG-DDC02) glued the bottom petals to the tree on either side so it resembles a star!

Use the Mini Library Pocket Punch (5MG-68300) to punch 30 pockets out of the Snowflakes and Holly 6" x 6" paper pad (5DD-17384).

Assemble the pockets and glue the flaps in place. Bend the braches on an 18" Wire Christmas Tree (5HC-441S), and arrange the pockets around the tree.

Bend the top two branches on the tree slightly upward, and affix an angel from the Winged Cuties Collage Sheet (5ARWINGED).

Try filling each of the pockets with Christmas inchies or small, handwritten notes for extra holiday cheer!

Spray both sides of a sheet of newspaper with Gold Glimmer Mist (5TA-GOLD) and let dry.

Cut into thin strips (approximately 1/4" wide by 1 1/2" long). Stuff the heart using the strips until the desired fullness is achieved.

Tie a small piece of hemp twine or thin rope into a bow at the top.

DIY Decorations
By Vanessa Spencer

The white star ornament (5HCMINISTAR) was painted with white acrylic paint (5AA-ALD22671) then I added red foil wings (5AR-S305) and glued on an epoxy Christmas sticker (5CI-WINTERGAR). Wrap some gold ribbon around the star for the final touch!

The silver heart (5HCMINIHEART) was created by inserting a bundle of silver tinsel inside. Then I used a Christmas inchie by Tuscan Rose (5TR-381C) and glued it onto a piece of red paper that was punched out with the square postage stamp punch (5MG-95910).

Glue a fragment (5TH92484) on top of the inchie piece with (5DP-GAC17042) and allow to dry.

Once dried wrap white scrappers floss (5KF-0292) around it and attach to the heart. The star ornament (5HCMINISTAR) with the red flower was quick and easy!

I weaved through some white ribbon (5HH-CX404) and some beige ribbons as shown in the picture. Then I added a prima crystal center (5PM-521899) onto a red foil flower (5AR-G917) and attached to the front of the star.

Trick or Treat and Bling its Halloween
By Kristen Robinson

Orange glitter and a bit of bling bring all that’s fun to Halloween. A dash of glitter plays amongst shredded mummy threads on this amazing wire form skeleton, creating the perfect Halloween greeting.

Begin by spraying the front of your wire form with a spray adhesive – do so in a well ventilated area per manufacturer's instructions. Once the front is adequately covered begin applying orange glitter (5AG-908) or (5RR-SGG15130) to the entire form and repeat this process to the back if so desired. If possible hang your skeleton from a hook to insure proper drying. Once the glitter is dry spray the skeleton with a coat of varnish again in a well ventilated area per manufacturer’s instructions.

Cut strips of cheese cloth or gauze to various lengths, and smudge with Walnut Stain Distressed Ink by Ranger (5TH-TIM19534). Drape the pieces of cloth or gauze over your skeleton in a random and mummy like fashion.

To create the Halloween sign begin with a 6 inch piece of baling wire that has been curled at each end – creating hooks to place through the skeletons joints. To this wire glue a piece of gauze the same length. With a 1 x 1 inch square punch (5MU-LVEJCP42) create 14 squares from black cardstock. With crème cardstock and 15/16" x 15/16" (5MG-95901) square punch create 14 squares.

Using Black Soot Distressed Ink by Ranger (5TH-TIM19541) create the words “Happy Halloween”. With Scatter Straw Distressed Ink by Ranger (5TH-TIM21483) smudge the edges of the cráme cardstock. Glue your créme and black squares together. For extra dimension randomly add orange glitter to each of the letters. Glue “Happy” together and then glue onto the strip of gauze and wire you attached to the skeleton. Do the same with “Halloween”.

To one side of the sign you have created add a few tea dyed tags that have been stamped with various Halloween images.  Add a strand of orange sequins to your banner for an extra touch!

Hang your Halloween treat for all to see, welcoming guests into your spooky den of fun!
