Technique
1. Paint your watercolor paper with pink watercolor paint and set aside to dry (or dry with a hair dryer or heat gun).
2. Once your paper has dried add polka dots with paint dabber, again let air dry or speed up the process with a hair dryer.
3. Once your background is dry add a piece of pink toile fabric (I laid mine wrong side up so the colors would appear a bit more muted) to the watercolor paper and glue. Now add pages from a dictionary to three sides of your fabric, adhere with paper safe glue.
4. Add photo corners to your postcard and glue down to the background you have created.
5. With watercolor crayons, colored pencils and pencil add shading and doodles to your piece.
6. Finally frame in a black frame and enjoy your new piece of art.

8 ½ x 11 Matte Board
Black Fabric (enough to cover matte board)
Vintage Sheet Music
Vintage Ledger Paper
Pink and Black Embroidery Floss
Scroll Stamp by Hero Arts
Adhesive
Watercolor Crayons

Technique
1. Begin by covering your matte board with fabric using either a fabric adhesive or spray adhesive.
2. Gather sheet music and ledger paper – create a stack with these pages folding in an accordion manner taking care not to be precise as you will want the background to mirror the texture of the artwork.
3. Add a few drops of adhesive between layers, once this is dry begin adding random stitches using embroidery floss, to your stack.
4. To your postcard add a series of French knots again with embroidery floss. Add additional stitches to the top center of the card as well as the bottom center.
