A Suitcase Full of Treasures

Any time is the perfect time to gift a loved one with treasures you have created. A sweet little suitcase filled with creations will surely bring a smile to your beloveds face.

Step 1:
Love Potion Kit by Melissa Frances

Begin by removing the labels and buttons form the package of the love potion kit (5HH-GN06) and set aside. Remove the supplied paper from the "Love Potion" box. To the bottom of the fold out add a strip of ribbon, and either glue or sew on. Now begin adding labels and buttons to each of the pages. I also added a heart cut out of ledger paper, as well as paper strips perfect for writing the special someone a love note. Finally add shading and hatch marks with a colored pencil.

Step 2:
Creating the Love Pillow

A simple sweet little pillow is created by taking two pieces of muslin measuring approximately 2 inches by 2 inches and sewing them together, leaving a small opening for the batting. Once you have your pillow filled sew closed and add a label as well as a heart if desired.

Step 3:
Altering the Suitcase

To begin alter the front of your suitcase (5SM-LS9077) with paper – I chose vintage ledger paper. Now add layer of sheet music (5CA-MUSIC) as well as a heart you have cut out of your favorite paper. To the heart add an additional heart just a bit smaller in size. A button from your Love Potion Kit (5HH-GN06) as well as paper flower makes for a perfect finishing touch.

To the inside of the suitcase add a strip of paper to both insets. Fill with your treasures of Love and give it to that someone special.
