They can be used for everyday, for embellishments, or for artful creations – you choose. We know you'll want them around as a staple, we sure do! Some of our favorite ideas for using these clips include:

  • as embellishments on hand-made cards or scrapbooks
  • sticking out of journals – to hold elements and add visual interest
  • as a way to attach a card to a gift bag or box
  • glue to magnets to make a fridge magnet
  • glue to flat push-pin to make a push-pin
  • attach a small card to a bouquet of flowers by clipping the card to a flower stem

How Cool Is That?

Gather Distress inkpads (Black Soot - 5TH-TIM19541; Fired Brick - 5TH-TIM20202) and other inkpads in coordinating colors. Use images from Michelle Ward’s Clearly Impressed stamp lines (M4748 - Swirls; M4746 - Bird Sanctuary; M4749 - Patterned Flourishes; M4745 - Rock and Roll) and the clear acrylic blocks (5CLR-AMKIT1) with the inkpads to stamp directly onto four shipping tags. If desired, use a wooden clip (5CPCANOCLIPS) to stack and secure the tags together. Clean the Clearly Impressed stamps with cleaning essentials (Double Stamp Scrubber Pad - 5SSC-SCRUB; Ultra Clean Stamp Cleaner - 5SSC-ULTRA).

Friendship Card

Blue-emboss garden bird (source not given) twice on cream card stock. Watercolor complete image and portions of the second image as shown. Tear the edges around the image. Cut out flowers, leaves and bird. Mount the cutouts to the image with foam tape. Mount the image to a blue panel with foam tape. Layer the blue panel with a deckle-edged yellow panel to an Ornate Leave Embossed Vellum (5KC-632448 - Discontinued) panel. Layer the vellum panel with a torn-edge wallpaper panel to a marble background card. Sponge tan ink along the edges of a friendship card from Box of Thoughts on Friends (5CHFRIEND - Discontinued). Attach the card to a blue panel. Stamp feather portion of heart gods-eye (Auntie Amy) with blue Crafters ink on sanded shrink plastic. Cut out. Bake according to manufacturer instructions. Watercolor the pieces. Tie a thread around each piece. Glue the shrink art pieces onto two wooden clips from Can O' Clips (5CPCANCLIPS). Attach the clips to the top of the card as shown.
 

Memo Clothesline

Paint three wooden clips from Can O' Clips (5CPCANCLIPS) with silver acrylic. Attach Silver Alphabet Tiles (5ST-AC917S) to the clips as shown. Paint black acrylic over letters and wipe away excess paint. Attach clips to a length of cord from Olive Bronze Collage Card (5FLCCOB - Discontinued), tie knots on each side of the clips.
Personalized Clip

Paint a wooden clip from Can O' Clips (5CPCANCLIPS) with black acrylic. Cut out letters to spell name from Small Letter Tiles (5LR-8990D), Mount the letters to the clip with foam tape. Attach clip to photo.
