Brads, Brads & More Brads!

We love using brads to attach embellishments and transparencies to our artwork, and you will, too. Simply punch a hole where you want the brad, insert and fold back the prongs to attach. The Mini Brads come in fun shapes and finishes, so you’re sure to find the right one for your project. The top of each Mini Brad measures approximately 1/8” for the square, circle, heart, and star shapes. There are 100 brads per package.

Our favorite punch to use for the mini brads is the Long Reach Micro Dot Punch (5EC-61002).

Treasures of Childhood

Computer-generate text on a pink sheet of vellum from Pastel Vellum Papers (5HT-3090 - Discontinued). Attach black Lace Border Stickers (5EK-RSNASP017) to the edges of a panel from Roots Transparency (5CI-8408 - Discontinued). Layer the transparency with the vellum sheet to a gingham panel from Briana 6x6 Paper Pad (5KC-624191 - Discontinued). Trim the edges of the layered panels as shown. Attach a patchwork panel from the same paper pack to the back side of the prepared panel and trim the edges. Stamp text from Collage Cube (C8418) on the patchwork panel from the Paper Pad. Paint four small Stitched Panels from Stitched Tin Tiles-Square (5MA-22922 - Discontinued) with green paint from Harvest Scrapbook Colors Kit (5MA-23674). Sand the edges of the painted panels. Attach pink Magic Mesh to the panels and trim the edges. Draw stitch lines on the panels with a permanent black pen. Poke a hole in the center of each panel. Color four Mini Brads-Heart-Pewter (5MA-23548-Discontinued) with a permanent black pen. Attach the eyelets to the panels. Stamp lace border from Notions 4X (S7114) along the edges of a floral panel from Briana 6x6 Paper Pad (5KC-624191 - Discontinued). Attach Pastel Pink Eyelets (5CBEYEPASPK - Discontinued) to the corners of the panel. Attach a photo to the center of the panel with Stitch Strips Domed Stickers (5KC 557581). Attach the prepared lace edged panel to the floral panel with a Photo Flip Square (5MA-22750 - Discontinued). Attach a Large Black Photo Turn (5SG-8251) to the right side of the panel with a pastel pink eyelet. Mount the Stitched Panels to the corners of the panel with foam tape. Stamp stripes from Nostalgia Cube randomly with green pigment ink along the edges of an Ivory Large Accordion Book (5KC-536302) and clear-emboss. Sponge pink ink along the edges of the book. Glue the prepared panel to the book.
