The artist wrapped
Davey board with blue book-cover material and constructed the box
so that the inside hinges out, cutting the top into a spiral, and
then adhered several elements to the spiral for embellishment.
Using different
calligraphic hands, inks, gouache, watercolors, etc. various artists
from the Calligraphic Society of Arizona decorated pages with an alphabet
letter as a focal point. These were affixed to a black accordion-fold
booklet and inserted into the box.
