The 7gypsies Photo Display Stand (5SG-12557) is designed for 4” x 6” photos but it can actually be used many other ways. I decided to create a recipe book. If you don’t want to use the slipcovers that come with the stand you can used the Naked Photo Stand Book (5SG-11092) instead. I painted all the chipboard tabbed pages from the Naked Photo Stand Book (5SG-11092) with a dusty blue acrylic paint. I mixed some sky blue paint (5HSP24866) with Traditional Tan (5HSP24828) to create a custom dusty blue color. Allow all the chipboard pages to dry and then lightly distress them with the Versacolor Bark ink (5VS-000-054). I cut out the recipe cards using a light pink cardstock and cut them down to the same size as the naked chipboard pages. To alter the front cover I cut out a piece of corrugated cardboard and roughly painted it with Gesso (5HSP24941). Then I embellished it with some 7gypsies Savannah papers (5SG-23021) and added a clip art image from the Travel to Paris collage pack (5TJ-0303). In the upper left corner I added a silver flower brad (5CI-18832). I painted the chipboard letters b, o and n the same color as the chipboard pages and glued the on to the cover. Then I stamped the word appétit onto the same pink cardstock that I had used for the recipe inner pages, and then cut out the word and glued it onto the cover also. I added a very thin strip of pink crepe paper (5HH-GN303) to the bottom edge of the corrugated cardboard. I decorated the inner tabbed pages and again used the Savannah paper (5SG-23021), Travel to Paris Collage Pack images (5TJ-0303) and the crepe paper (5HH-GN303). |
