Colorful Canvases with Cling Mount Stamps

To find and view the products used, click here. Guest Artist and Stamp designer Dina Wakley created these colorful mixed-media canvases using her new Cling Mount stamps. To recreate Dina’s project you will need: • Dina Wakley cling mount stamps • Acrylic Blocks • Canvases • Acrylic Paint • Ink • Book text • Gesso Dina’s project is a mixture of painting, stamping, gluing and simply layering the different elements for this creative, collaged look. You can prime your canvas if necessary with gesso. Using your favorite colors of acrylic paint, paint your background as desired. Once the paint has dried, you can stamp the images directly onto the canvas. Another alternative is to stamp the images onto paper first, cut them out, and then glue the images on. You can add additional designs and elements to the pieces by incorporating book text images, stamping with found objects, or by painting shapes and designs by hand. |
